2 cardiology machines and 1 specialist gynaecology chair left my house in July 2023. Over the summer they travelled from Switzerland into Ukraine. Thanks to Oleg Khodaryev, working tirelessly to help hold up his beloved region, this medical aid arrived at the Dergachev hospital in Kharkov.
So close to the Russian border, the Kharkov region has been attacked relentlessly since day one of the invasion; the recent missile attack on the village of Hroza devastating beyond words.
Huge thanks to all who donated so generously to Ambulance Relief, enabling us to buy these ECGs and gynaecology chair specifically requested by the hospital. Very special thanks to Michael and Jan Clarke in the UK; Edward Inglett in Moldova; and the family of Eileen Lynch – Eileen, Tony, Aidan, Fin, Niamh and Brian – in Ireland.
Thank you everyone who arrived at mine the days and hours before departure to donate much needed supplies packed around the equipment. Mike and Anne Hussey, Christine Martinez Ovendag, Karen Evans, Merce Cornejo, Aparna Rao, Laura Summerfeldt Rickard, Natalya Ayling, Luke Clark, Adrian and Susan Cassidy, Karen Willis, Megan Vergare Ostuni, Jill Perucki, Nina Basharova. Thank you Arina and Olga Nikodon for all your help to sort and pack. Thank you Nick Ramscar for seeing everything safely on the road with Oleg and Steffen.
Grateful to every person, every contribution, that made possible this medical aid for Kharkov ❤️
