Ambulance 9’s brief story:

On 19th December 2024, Ambulance Relief launched its 9th ambulance appeal. This appeal was particularly special – the vehicle identified had one stretcher and an empty space that could accommodate a second stretcher. So potentially this vehicle could rescue two lives together. Helen Ramscar reserved it.

Donors to every Ambulance Relief appeal are simply incredible people. Between a combination of direct bank transfers, Swiss TWINTs and donations via GoFundMe, by the end of March 2025 the ambulance was bought. ACT Special Cars arranged for a second stretcher to be fitted using space parts.

With support from the Ukrainian embassy in Switzerland, the requisite paperwork for export began immediately.

On Friday 4th April 2025, the ambulance was delivered to the Ukrainian Embassy, and the same day it left Switzerland.

On 9th April, Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kyiv posted on social media some wonderful images of the ambulance pausing in Ukraine’s capital, before it continued its journey on to Sumy.

This post will be updated with more details and final destination news very soon …
