Ambulance 8 arrived in Zaporizhzhia

34 portable power supplies – winter 2022/23
This appeal was launched by Sarah and Victoria Lain in the UK and Helen Ramscar in Switzerland. Hoping to raise enough to buy a few generators and portable power supplies for Ukraine, they bought 34.
4 ambulances for Ukraine
With the support of the Community Association of the ISB, the first ambulance appeal was launched on 14th March 2022. School parent Helen Ramscar created and led the campaign that has donated a total of 4 ambulances to Ukraine.
Electrosurgical/diathermy unit
Over 1800 miles, from an auction house in Bracknell, UK, to a hospital in Dnipro, Ukraine – a wonderful example of the informal network of international collaboration delivering aid precisely where needed.
Audiology
As Ukraine's citizens live under rocket shelling and explosions, funds were raised to donate this audiology machine to diagnose hearing damage.
Spirometry
This spirometry was needed to diagnose pneumonia among sick and suffering in the winter of 2022, as attacks on Ukraine's civil power supplies were compounded by freezing temperatures.
Surgical shears
A relatively small donation with a big impact, enabling surgeons to operate much more effectively.
Electrosurgical unit & cables
This electro coagulation/cutting unit is used for precision surgery on injured tissue. It left Basel on 28th October and began work in Ukraine on 8th November 2023.
Defibrillators
Funds were raised within an hour to buy 2 defibrillators. They were added to a UK aid convoy and hand-delivered to ZSR rescue medics at the Medyka (Polish/Ukraine crossing) on 6th March 2022.
